Guanau-Nabon Chinese Shrine sunset Phuket Thailand

Located Phuket Thailand and its almost new, so still in great shape. Faces east so I like shooting after the sun sets behind the shrine. I have been there twice and not a tourist, only a few locals.  Plenty of parking so I think they are hoping for more people to come and see. Its a Taoist temple. I suggest a polarizing  filter for inside shooting,  the alter area there is a glass or plexiglass panel covering the base and there is a bad glare.  For a map and location check on the LINK  to go to their web site click here  its in English, Thai, and Chinese

Lovely Chinese Shrine Tha Rua 4 serpants Phuket Thailand

Tha Rua Shrine Phuket Thailand is the 4th oldest and the largest chinese shrine on Phuket Island.  You cant miss it when going from or to the airport and Phuket Town. The shrine is a great place for the camera and not that busy except during the Chinese New Year in FEB and the Vegetarian Festival in Oct.   Several centuries ago chinese from souther china came to Phuket to work in the tin minds.  With them brought their religion and culture.

Located Phuket Island, Thailand on the main road 402 from the airport to Phuket Town, just south of Heroines Monument.  It is a Taoist shrine and is open 6-18:00. Avoid wearing black.  Map to get there here is the LINK

Kiew Tien Keng Chinese Shrine Saphan Hin Phuket Thailand

Located Saphan Hin Park along the water front Phuket Town, Thailand. I enjoy stopping by here when I am at Saphan Hin Park which is a nice place for photos and to enjoy the evening. Kiew Tien Keng is a taoist shrine and is considered the departure spot to send all gods and deities to heaven on the final night of the vegetarian festival.  It is not very big but colorful and near the shoreline.  Map of Saphan Hin Park and Kiew Tien Keng
