After waking to the sounds of singing Nuns collecting their Alms I set off on foot to People’s Square and Park and the Shwedagon Pagoda.

The park is another beautiful rest point and the Shwedagon left me speechless… You can not understand the size and beauty of this pagoda until you see it for yourself… Filled with locals coming to pray to Buddah and with only a handful of tourists around, it felt like I was witnessing true Burmese life and culture, untouched by the rest of the world. Shwedagon Pagoda is a must see!
After my morning at the Pagoda I caught a taxi to Inya Lake for a wander where many locals were sitting on the provided seating taking in the beauty that surrounds you.  Although a beautiful site, there is plenty more beautiful things to see in Yangon so only use your time at Inya if you…
