Patong has a beautiful beach and lot of shopping, eating but I think the main attraction is the nightlife that is wild and open. It has the most tourist and is a great place to go. My first trip to Thailand was here, but I seldom go now as I prefer more Thai and less tourist. It does have lot to offer for the camera, color, people, sunsets, water. The new Thai government has reduced the amount of vendors on the beach and made the business that had encroached on the beach move which has open the beach up.
